After years of trying to find a moisturizer that keeps my skin highly moisturized, absorbs beautifully, yet is not heavy nor clogs my pores, I have finally found my favorite that I swear by. I truly love how it smells and uplifts my spirits. My skin type tends to be normal but sensitive. It is especially sensitive to breakouts if I use moisturizers that are too thick.
How to use Advanced Moisture Treatment
We always recommend you start with a clean and damp face. For cleansing, we recommend our best-selling Cleansing Milk - https://ohaskin.com/collections/best-seller/products/cleansing-milk
Afterward: Apply one pump to the face and neck using upward circular motions until absorbedOR:
For best resultscombine into the palm of your hand: 1 pump of Advanced Moisture Treatment with 5 sprays of any OHA mist plus 1 pump of any OHA serum. Mix together and then apply to your neck and face using upward circular motions until products are absorbed.
No Mist? If you don’t have an OHA mist, you can substitute around half a teaspoon of water in the palm of your hand combined with the cream. The water won’t supply the skin-boosting benefits of our mists, but it will allow for better product spreading and absorption.
No Serum? The best substitute if you don’t have a serum is to increase circular motions to your neck and face, even after the product feels absorbed. This will stimulate facial circulation and blood flow.
When to use Advanced Moisture Treatment:Morning, night, or both
What type of skin is recommended for Advanced Moisture Treatment?

Taking an in-depth look at the quality ingredients in Advanced Moisture Treatment:
To demonstrate the hydrating, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, and radiant skin benefits here’s a deep dive into several key ingredients of this Moisture Treatment.
First off, let's look at all of the vitamins contained within this formula: Esterified Vitamin C, Vitamin E aka Tocopherol, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and MSM.
Ascorbyl Palmitateis a stable, fat-soluble derivative of Vitamin C. It's often used in skincare formulations due to its specific properties and benefits for the skin. Here’s why it’s beneficial:
Enhanced Stability
●Fat-Soluble Form:Unlike L-ascorbic acid (the pure form of Vitamin C), ascorbyl palmitate is more stable in formulations because it is oil-soluble. This reduces the risk of oxidation and extends the product's shelf life.
●Resistant to Degradation:It maintains its potency longer, especially in formulations with oils or emulsions.
Antioxidant Protection
●Neutralizes Free Radicals:Protects the skin from environmental stressors like pollution and UV radiation, which can cause premature aging.
●Prevents Oxidative Damage:Reduces the risk of skin damage, such as hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles.
Gentle on Skin
●Low Irritation Potential:Because it’s less acidic than L-ascorbic acid, ascorbyl palmitate is gentler, making it ideal for sensitive or reactive skin types.
●Boosts Collagen Production:Like other forms of Vitamin C, ascorbyl palmitate stimulates collagen synthesis, which improves skin elasticity, reduces fine lines, and promotes a more youthful appearance.
Brightens Skin
●Evens Skin Tone:Helps to fade dark spots and reduce hyperpigmentation, resulting in a brighter, more radiant complexion.
●Supports Skin Renewal:Encourages healthier skin by promoting cell turnover.
Easily Penetrates the Skin
●Oil-Solubility Advantage:Its fat-soluble nature allows it to penetrate the lipid layers of the skin more effectively, ensuring deeper delivery of its antioxidant
Versatile in Formulations
●Ideal for Oily Skin Products:Ascorbyl palmitate works well in formulations that target oily or acne-prone skin, as its oil-solubility ensures compatibility with oil-based products.
● Synergy with Other Ingredients:Works well with Vitamin E (tocopherol) and other antioxidants to amplify its effects.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
Vitamin E is another potent antioxidant that complements Vitamin C beautifully. Reasons it’s beneficial:
●Moisturizes Skin:Deeply hydrates and helps repair the skin's natural barrier, making it ideal for dry skin.
●Soothes Irritation:Reduces redness, inflammation, and irritation.
●Prevents Premature Aging:Neutralizes free radicals and minimizes damage caused by UV exposure and pollution.
●Promotes Healing:Supports cell regeneration and healing, useful for scars or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
●Boosts UV Protection:When paired with Vitamin C, it enhances photoprotection against harmful UV rays.
Pro Tip:Vitamin E is fat-soluble, meaning it absorbs better when combined with oils or fatty acids.
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)
ALA is a lesser-known but highly effective antioxidant that benefits the skin in several ways.
●Fights Free Radicals:Protects against oxidative stress and prevents signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines.
●Improves Skin Texture:Encourages skin cell turnover, leading to smoother, brighter, and healthier skin.
●Reduces Inflammation:Helps with redness, swelling, or skin irritation, making it great for sensitive or acne-prone skin.
●Minimizes Pores and Tightens Skin:Known to refine skin texture and tighten pores for a more youthful appearance.
●Enhances Other Antioxidants:ALA boosts the efficacy of Vitamin C and E by regenerating them after they’ve been used by the skin.
Pro Tip:ALA is highly potent.
MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)
MSMis a sulfur-rich compound with powerful skin benefits. Benefits include:
●Supports Collagen and Keratin Production:Sulfur is a building block of these proteins, which improve skin elasticity and strength.
●Reduces Inflammation:Excellent for calming conditions like acne, eczema, and rosacea.
●Detoxifies Skin:Promotes the removal of toxins, leading to a clearer complexion.
● Improves Wound Healing:Speeds up the healing process for cuts, scars, or acne marks.
●Hydrates and Smooths Skin:Strengthens the skin barrier, helping it retain moisture for a softer texture.
Pro Tip:MSM is often included in creams and serums for long-term benefits.
How Ascorbyl Palmitate, Vitamin E, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and MSM Work Together.
When combined, these ingredients create a synergistic effect:
●Vitamin C + Vitamin E:Enhance antioxidant protection, boost collagen production, and improve photoprotection.
●ALA + MSM:Fight inflammation and improve overall skin texture and repair.
●All Four:Deliver a comprehensive solution for anti-aging, hydration, skin brightening, and protection against environmental damage.

Olive Squalane
Olive Squalane is a lipid primarily sourced from olives. It provides deep hydration without heaviness. Its lightweight texture makes it good for all skin types. It acts as a natural emollient, smoothing and softening the skin. The emollient feature benefits the skin’s elasticity. Olive Squalane’s chemical structure is similar to the skin’s sebum (the skin’s natural oil). This similarity results in it being readily absorbed and yielding long-lasting hydration. Other benefits include:
●Strengthens the Skin Barrier: Our skin barrier is essential for protection from environmental aggressors and for keeping moisture in. Squalane mimics the lipids found in our skin. This helps to repair and fortify the skin barrier resulting in improved resilience and long-lasting hydration.
●Calms Irritation and Redness:Squalane contains anti-inflammatory properties, making it ideal for soothing sensitive or reactive skin. It can help reduce redness and irritation caused by conditions such as eczema, rosacea, or general sensitivity.
●Antioxidant Protection: Helps combat oxidative stress caused by UV exposure, pollution, and other environmental aggressors. This antioxidant action helps slow down premature skin aging and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
●Non-Comedogenic and Balances Sebum: Unlike heavier oils, squalane is non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores. It is ideal for oily and combination skin types as it provides hydration while balancing excess oil production.
Best for all skin types- Squalane works to address each type of skin need, whether dry, oily, sensitive, combination, or aging. Its highly absorptive and lightweight qualities make it a truly great skincare ingredient.
