Facial Sugar Scrub
Dull, tired skin has met its match. Our favorite facial scrub — made with finely ground, naturally antibacterial organic cane sugar — is designed to suit even the most sensitive of skins.
The hydrophilic composition of sugar encourages moisture retention as brightening vitamin C and anti-inflammatory vitamin E gently buff away dead skin cells and pore-clogging debris to refresh your complexion and address textural imperfections.
Suitable for even the most sensitive and inflamed of complexions, the finely ground granules of organic sugar in this gentle exfoliator melt away when applied to skin leaving it feeling rejuvenated and bright.
Our specially formulated trio of organic tea tree oils (lemon, lavender, and regular) offers healing, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial benefits that are particularly effective for skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, and psoriasis.
Gentle scrubbing allows skin to absorb moisture more thoroughly, which helps vitamin-rich moisturizers penetrate deeper and be absorbed better. Combined with mild surfactants, this exfoliator helps lift dry, flaky skin cells and excess oils to reveal a more vibrant, youthful and blemish-free visage.
How to Use
- Use three to four times per week, alternating with a non-exfoliating cleanser
- Gently massage a nickel-sized amount of product to palms & with wet fingertips apply to face in circular motions.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel
- Follow with 6 sprays of OHA Mist, dime-sized amount of OHA serum and moisturizer, mix together and apply with circular motions to face and neck until completely absorbed
Organic Cane Sugar
As well as being an excellent exfoliant, finely ground organic sugar’s glycolic- and alpha-hydroxy acid contents balance skin’s natural equilibrium, preventing it from becoming too dry or too oily and leaving you with a naturally radiant glow. Sugar is more antibacterial than salt and does not cause micro tears in skin. Because of its hydrophillic composition, sugar holds onto water, assisting skin to maintain hydration.
Vitamins C & E
Vitamins C & E are antioxidants, meaning they fortify skin cells from damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure, air pollution and other environmental stressors. Vitamin C also inhibits melanin production, which helps address hyperpigmentation, even skin tone and enhance radiance.
The Mayo Clinic conducted a study proving that topical Vitamin C enhances the quality and synthesis of collagen in skin to keep it plump and supple. The greatest effect of vitamin C is seen when it is combined with other micro-nutrients, such as vitamin E.
A great source of vitamin E, sunflower oil is incredibly rich in nutrients and antioxidants and effective for combating skin concerns like acne, inflammation and redness. Emollient properties penetrate deep into pores to help skin retain moisture.
Tea Tree Oils
Our tri-blend of tea tree oils — lavender, lemon and regular — was always special to us, but in light of the devastating Australian fires it has become even more precious.
Lemon Tea Tree Oil
Lemon tea tree oil works wonderfully well in skincare given its highly antibacterial and antimicrobial actions plus its refreshing aroma. It has been found to be effective in treating acne and for keeping skin exceptionally clean.
Lavender Tea Tree Oil
Lavender tea tree oil (aka Rosalina) brings together the benefits of regular tea tree and lavender essential oil. In addition to its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial uses, it has a relaxing and calming scent reminiscent of lavender. It is also good for sensitive skin as it soothes redness and irritation.
